Description

Legendary engine builder Darin Morgan and Preston Mosher, BES Racing Engines’ cylinder head department manager, will provide an overview of various combinations built by BES based on 50- to 60-year-old engine architecture utilizing modern cylinder head, induction system, and valvetrain technology to produce ever-higher power levels. It’s an exercise in compromise, as this session explores the rules governing induction system design and how these rules change as a result of less-than-adequate engine architecture or sanctioning body rule restrictions. We’ll also cover peak and average air speeds; pressure recovery dynamics; discharge coefficients; and intake tract harmonic tuning; among other subjects.
